Drake and Kendrick Lamar, two prominent figures in the rap industry, recently engaged in a heated feud that brought up allegations and personal attacks. The feud began when Lamar released his diss track titled “Meet The Grahams,” referencing Drake’s legal last name. In the third verse of the song, Lamar addresses a “baby girl” who lacks an involved father figure in her life, indirectly implying that Drake is hiding another child from the world.
Responding to Lamar’s accusations, Drake took to Instagram, posting a photo of himself looking somber and sarcastically asking someone to find his hidden daughter and send her to him. This response came moments after Lamar dropped his diss track. It is worth noting that this is not the first time Drake has faced allegations regarding his children. In 2018, rapper Pusha T accused Drake of hiding his firstborn child, whom he had with former porn star Sophie Brussaux, on a track called “The Story of Adidon.”
Drake, however, did eventually share images of his son, Adonis, on social media in March 2020. Despite this, Lamar now claims that Drake is hiding yet another child from the world. In addition to this accusation, Lamar also alleges that Drake is involved in sex trafficking and employs individuals who are sex offenders.
In response to Lamar’s claims, Drake released his own diss track titled “Family Matters.” In this song, Drake accuses Lamar of beating his fiancée, Whitney Alford, cheating on her with other women, and being a fake activist. He questions whether Lamar’s actions towards his fiancée are in self-defense due to her being physically larger than him.
The feud between Drake and Lamar has been marked by personal attacks and accusations. While it is unclear how much truth there is behind these allegations, it is evident that their rap beef has escalated to a point where both artists are trying to discredit each other. Only time will tell if these accusations hold any weight or if they are merely a part of the ongoing feud between two influential figures in the music industry.
