Larry, a photographer, took to Instagram to share several photos of the 17-year-old, who was dressed in a stunning red ruffled floor-length dress and a floral hat for the event.
Larry captioned the post, mentioning their previous night at the Barnstable-Brown Gala and a quick morning haircut. He added that Dannielynn’s dress was inspired by her favorite character from a show called Kamen Rider OOO TaJaDor combo. Larry humorously mentioned that Dannielynn insisted he include this detail because the character had shoulders similar to the design of her dress.
The father-daughter duo has made it a tradition to attend both the Kentucky Derby and the Barnstable-Brown Gala every year. Last year, during the gala, Larry shared that he had met Anna Nicole Smith at the same event 20 years prior. The former Playboy model tragically passed away from a drug overdose in February 2007 when Dannielynn was just five months old.
Larry and Anna Nicole Smith welcomed Dannielynn into the world in September 2006. Initially, Smith claimed that her attorney and romantic partner, Howard K. Stern, was the father. However, Larry contested this claim and demanded a DNA test. Since then, Larry has raised Dannielynn as a single father.
Last September, Larry shared rare photos of Dannielynn on Instagram to celebrate her 17th birthday. In his caption, he expressed his love for his daughter, describing her as funny, crazy smart, pretty, and everything he could ever imagine. He also mentioned that Anna Nicole Smith would be proud of Dannielynn.
This year’s Kentucky Derby outing was another special moment for Larry and Dannielynn as they continue to make memories together.
