The Norfolk District Attorney’s Office reported that those injured included two mid-20s emergency medical technicians, a patient in his 70s who was being transported to the hospital, and a 40-year-old mother and her 8-year-old daughter, who were in the other vehicle.
The severity of the situation became apparent when it was revealed that the child had sustained serious injuries and required immediate medical attention. It was at this moment that Jamie Jarvis, a 35-year-old pregnant delivery driver, sprang into action. Jarvis heard the impact of the crash and rushed to aid the wounded.
