Will ‘8 Passengers’ appeal their prison sentence? Attorney for Ruby Franke provides insight

In a shocking turn of events, Ruby Franke, former host of the popular YouTube channel “8 Passengers,” has chosen not to appeal her severe prison sentence. According to a spokesperson for her attorney, Franke has taken full responsibility for her actions and is prepared to serve her time behind bars.

The sentencing came as a result of Franke’s guilty plea to four counts of child abuse. She will serve a maximum of 30 years in prison due to a Utah law that limits the amount of time for consecutive sentences. The actual duration of her sentence will be determined by the Utah Board of Pardons and Parole.

During the emotional sentencing hearing, Franke tearfully apologized to her six children for the abuse they endured and to her estranged husband, Kevin Franke, who filed for divorce after her arrest. She expressed deep remorse for the pain she caused and vowed to never stop crying for hurting her children’s tender souls.

Franke’s crimes were brought to light when one of her emaciated children managed to escape from their home and seek help from a neighbor. The neighbor discovered the victim had been restrained with duct tape and immediately called the police. The extent of the abuse was revealed in Franke’s plea, where she admitted to torturing her children by holding their heads under water, starving them, and subjecting them to extreme heat.

Since her arrest, Franke’s four minor children have been under the care of the state. However, her estranged husband, Kevin, has filed for guardianship over their 16-year-old daughter, Abby, in an effort to regain custody.

The decision not to appeal her sentence may come as a surprise to some, considering the severity of Franke’s crimes. However, it appears that she is determined to take responsibility for her actions and face the consequences head-on. Only time will tell how Franke’s prison sentence will impact her family and the future of her YouTube channel.
