Murder Suspect Found at Church in The Heights, Houston

METRO police have confirmed that the manhunt for a murder suspect has ended after he was discovered at a church in The Heights on Wednesday.

Train Fight Turns Deadly

According to investigators, a fight broke out between two men on a train on Monday. The altercation escalated, resulting in one man stabbing the other multiple times. The suspect fled the scene, leaving the victim to die on the train.

Suspect Breaks into Church

On Wednesday, METRO police revealed that the murder suspect broke into a church located on 15th and Heights Boulevard.

Harris County Precinct 1 received a call about the break-in around 7 p.m.

The suspect not only stole from the church but also returned on Wednesday to get some food, according to Pct. 1.

Standoff with Authorities

Upon receiving the report, multiple agencies, including the Houston Police Department and METRO officers, responded to the scene. They found the suspect on the third roof window of the church, leading to a standoff.

Thankfully, authorities were able to apprehend the murder suspect.
