Records show security guard and his wife sentenced to jail for recording young girls at The Woodlands Mall

In a shocking turn of events, a security guard and his wife have been sentenced to jail for their involvement in recording young girls at The Woodlands Mall in Texas. The couple, identified as Taylor and Tasha Roy, were arrested and are now facing felony charges of invasive recording. This disturbing discovery has left the community in disbelief and raises concerns about the safety and privacy of children in public spaces.

Authorities were alerted to the videos after receiving an online tip, which led them to the couple’s home in Shenandoah, just north of The Woodlands. Upon investigation, several videos depicting girls’ private areas were found. The victims’ ages range from 11 to 16 years old, and the videos captured them shopping at the mall, with the perpetrator recording under their skirts without their knowledge.

Neighbors expressed their shock and concern upon learning about the couple’s arrest. Catie Moss, who lives across the street from the Roys, shared her fear for her own children’s safety. She stated, “I’ve got children of my own, one of which rides the bus with their eldest every afternoon and walks home from the bus stop with her. I mean, I was frightened. What is going on inside of that house?”

Further investigations revealed that Taylor Roy was employed as a security guard at The Woodlands Mall during the time of the recordings. The mall management clarified that they use a third-party security vendor called Allied Universal, and the accused individual has been removed from the property and placed on administrative leave pending further investigations. Allied Universal expressed their commitment to cooperating fully with law enforcement and emphasized that this behavior is not representative of their dedicated security professionals.

The severity of this crime has struck a nerve within the community, with individuals expressing their anger and concern for the victims. Moss, visibly upset, said, “I’m angry. If I found out something like this happened to my own children, I don’t even know what I would do.” The violation of trust and exploitation of young girls is a distressing reminder that such monsters can hide in plain sight.

Upon searching the couple’s home, authorities discovered additional videos, and Tasha Roy reportedly admitted to her involvement in recording and creating them. Investigators believe that there may be more victims, given Taylor Roy’s occupation as a tennis coach for children between the ages of 8 and 17 in The Woodlands and Spring areas.

The Montgomery County Precinct 3 Constable’s Office has urged anyone who believes they or their child may have been a victim of the Roys’ recordings to come forward and contact them. This is a crucial step in ensuring justice for the victims and preventing further harm.

As this story continues to unfold, it serves as a stark reminder that predators can be hiding in plain sight. It is essential for communities to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities. The safety and protection of our children must always remain a top priority, and incidents like this highlight the need for ongoing efforts to create safer environments for all.
