Rebel Wilson Reveals Shocking Memoir Excerpt: Sacha Baron Cohen’s Request for Her to Go Naked on Set

In a shocking revelation, Rebel Wilson has shared an excerpt from her upcoming memoir detailing her alleged interactions with Sacha Baron Cohen during the filming of “The Brothers Grimsby” in 2016. Wilson claims that Cohen repeatedly asked her to perform lewd acts with him on set, despite her repeated refusals.

The Australian actress, known for her roles in “Pitch Perfect” and “Bridesmaids,” first met Cohen at a dinner party in 2013. She later agreed to play his girlfriend, Dawn, in the R-rated comedy. However, Wilson claims that Cohen continually pushed for her to go naked in a future scene, something she adamantly refused to do.

During the filming in Cape Town, Wilson alleges that she was summoned by Cohen via a production assistant, who said she was needed to film an additional scene. It was during this encounter that Cohen reportedly pulled his pants down and asked Wilson to stick her finger up his ass. Shocked and appalled, Wilson refused and immediately contacted her agent and a lawyer for guidance.

Despite feeling scared and uncomfortable, Wilson decided to compromise by slapping Cohen on the ass and improvising a few lines as her character. She hoped that by doing so, she could get through the filming process and move on from the uncomfortable situation.

Wilson’s resolve began to crumble when she was asked to do several reshoots, including a sex scene. Although she demanded rewrites, she still had to simulate having sex with Cohen and kiss him repeatedly. The experience left her feeling violated and unable to “laugh it off” as she had previously tried to do.

The movie itself, “The Brothers Grimsby,” received negative reviews and bombed at the box office. Wilson believes this was karma for what she had experienced on set. She decided not to do any promotion for the film, wanting to distance herself from the negative experience.

In sharing her story, Wilson wants to raise awareness about the mistreatment of women in the industry. She hopes that by speaking out, she can contribute to a change in culture and prevent similar incidents from happening in the future. Wilson emphasizes that she is not seeking to cancel anyone but rather wants to encourage dialogue and support for women who have faced similar situations.

Sacha Baron Cohen has vehemently denied the accusations made by Wilson. His spokesperson stated that the claims are “demonstrably false” and are contradicted by evidence including documents, film footage, and eyewitness accounts from the production of “The Brothers Grimsby.” The spokesperson also shared statements from crew members who claim that Wilson was treated with respect and empowerment throughout the filming process.

Wilson remains resolute in her decision to share her story and refuses to be silenced or threatened by Cohen. Her memoir, set to be released on April 2, promises to shed light on her experiences in Hollywood and the challenges she has faced throughout her career. By speaking out, she hopes to inspire other women to do the same and bring about positive change in the industry.
