Private Plane’s Landing Gear Collapses at Hobby Airport

The Houston Airport System has reported that operations at Hobby Airport are not being affected despite a private plane experiencing a collapsed landing gear. The incident occurred on Thursday afternoon, prompting the closure of a runway as emergency crews, including the Houston Fire Department, responded to the scene.
According to officials, the plane was located in the “safety area” of the runway. However, no information regarding the number of people on board or any injuries sustained has been disclosed at this time.
SkyEye footage captured the aircraft, which appeared to be a twin-propeller engine plane, resting at the intersection of the runway and a grassy field. The rear door of the plane was observed to be wide open.
