Nikki Haley Shows Support for Israel and Consoles Victims of Hamas Attack

Former presidential hopeful Nikki Haley recently made a Memorial Day trip to the Israel-Gaza border to console an Israeli community that had been devastated by a Hamas attack on October 7, 2023. Despite the recent surge in anti-Israel protests, Haley reassured citizens that the United States remains committed to supporting Israel. She expressed solidarity, stating, “America is with you. Americans are with you.” Accompanied by Danny Danon, a Likud member of the Knesset, Haley visited the site of the attack and spoke with survivors.

During her visit, Haley emphasized the need to prevent future attacks and hold Hamas accountable. She acknowledged the highly coordinated nature of the October 7 attack and warned that Hamas has stated their intention to strike again. In a video posted by Danny Danon, Haley called for continued efforts to ensure such attacks never happen again.

Danon praised Haley for her unwavering support for Israel, describing her as a “sincere advocate for the Jewish people.” He warmly welcomed her to Israel and expressed gratitude for her visit. Haley’s support for Israel was evident during her tenure as the US ambassador to the United Nations from 2017 to late 2018, where she consistently defended Israel and clashed with critics of the Jewish state.

As part of her trip, Haley toured the Kibbutz Nir Oz, which was targeted by Hamas during the “Nova” music festival. She listened to survivors’ accounts of the horrific events that unfolded on that day. Emotional footage showed Haley wiping away tears as survivors shared their harrowing stories. Her main focus was to offer comfort and support to the victims and their families.

Haley also took the opportunity to call for the elimination of Hamas and the release of hostages held by the terrorist organization. She attributed blame for the massacre to Russia, China, and Iran, stating that China’s funding of Iran, Russia’s intelligence assistance, and Iran’s training support were all factors in the attack. While she did not provide direct evidence of these claims, it is known that both China and Russia support Iran, which in turn backs Hamas.

In addition to addressing the attack, Haley criticized President Biden’s decision to temporarily halt shipments of heavy bombs to Israel during a standoff over Rafah. She argued that withholding weapons is not a helpful approach to supporting Israel.

Although Haley dropped out of the 2024 race for presidency, she continues to have a significant presence in the political arena. She garnered substantial support in the Republican primary and recently announced her intention to vote for former President Trump in the upcoming presidential election.

Haley’s visit to the Israel-Gaza border not only demonstrated her unwavering support for Israel but also highlighted the need for continued efforts to prevent future attacks and hold terrorist organizations accountable. Her interactions with survivors and her call for the elimination of Hamas showcased her empathy and determination to ensure the safety and security of Israel.
