New England Patriots Help Children in Need with Holiday Shopping Spree

FOXBORO, MASS. (WHDH) – The New England Patriots teamed up with Bass Pro Shops to bring joy to children in need this holiday season. Players like Deatrich Wise Jr. and Jonathan Jones joined forces with 50 children from local homeless programs for a special shopping spree at the Bass Pro Shops location at Patriot Place.

Spreading Holiday Cheer

The annual event, organized by the Patriots Foundation, aims to provide gifts and winter gear to children from families facing hardships. Each child received a $400 gift card to purchase presents, coats, gloves, and more.

Players, team cheerleaders, and Patriots alumni, including three-time Super Bowl winner Joe Andruzzi, served as personal shopping partners for the kids. The event also featured a visit from Santa Claus, adding to the festive atmosphere.

A Heartwarming Experience

The shopping spree not only allowed the children to find gifts for their loved ones but also gave them a chance to experience the joy of the holiday season. After filling their carts, the children enjoyed dinner and participated in gift wrapping activities.

One young shopper named Noah Lyons expressed his excitement about shopping for his family members. “I’m shopping for my mom, and my dad, and my sister – my little sister,” he said.

Levi Vibert, a 10-year-old participant, shared his wishes for a merry Christmas and a happy New Year for his family. The event encouraged the children to think about others and spread love and happiness during this special time of year.
