The Mets: A .500 Team According to Oddsmakers in Las Vegas

When it comes to the New York Mets, oddsmakers in Las Vegas have priced them as a .500 team, and this assessment seems to be accurate.

However, as we all know, anything can happen in baseball.

Looking back at last year, these same oddsmakers predicted the Mets to be a 93-95 win team. They placed the team’s over/under at a level surpassed only by the Dodgers, Braves, and Astros.

As it turned out, the oddsmakers were correct about the Dodgers and Braves, but not so much about the Astros, who ended the season with 90 wins.

It just goes to show that even the experts in Las Vegas can’t always predict the outcome of a baseball season accurately.

So, while the Mets may be priced as a .500 team right now, there’s always a chance for surprises and unexpected performances that could push them beyond expectations.
