Matthew Perry’s Cause of Death Revealed: Acute Effects of Ketamine
Less than two months after Matthew Perry’s drowning death at the far too young age of 54, the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office has issued a report revealing the cause of his death. According to Variety, the report states that Perry’s death was attributed to the “acute effects of ketamine.”
Contributing Factors and Accidental Death
The report further states that contributing factors in Perry’s death include drowning, coronary artery disease, and the effects of buprenorphine, which is used to treat opioid use disorder. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office ruled Perry’s death to be accidental.
