Legal Battle Erupts Between Andy Cohen and Leah McSweeney’s Lawyers Regarding Cocaine Allegations, Cohen Accuses Them of Attempted Extortion

The drama behind the scenes at Bravo is reaching new heights with a legal battle unfolding between Andy Cohen and Leah McSweeney’s lawyers. The former “Real Housewives of New York City” star has filed a bombshell lawsuit against Cohen, accusing him of snorting cocaine with some of the “Housewives” stars and exploiting her substance issues for ratings. However, Cohen is fighting back, calling the allegations false and accusing McSweeney of attempting to extort him.

In her lawsuit, McSweeney claims that Cohen engages in cocaine use with the Housewives he employs and that his alleged proclivity for cocaine usage is well-known throughout the franchise. She also alleges that Bravo fosters a culture that thrives off drug and alcohol use and preyed on her alcohol problem to boost viewership. McSweeney is suing Bravo, Shed Media, and Warner Media, the owner of Shed.

Cohen’s lawyer, Orin Snyder, vehemently denies the cocaine allegations, stating that Cohen never used cocaine with any cast member or Bravo employee. Snyder calls the lawsuit “littered with false, offensive, and defamatory statements” about Cohen and demands a retraction and apology from McSweeney’s legal team. Cohen’s team accuses McSweeney of creating false allegations to generate media frenzy and pressure for an unjustified settlement.

In response to Cohen’s legal letter, McSweeney’s attorney, Sarah M. Matz, claims that Cohen is using his power in the media to intimidate her client. Matz states that Cohen’s attempt to discredit and intimidate McSweeney is evidence of retaliation, which the lawsuit aims to address. She suggests that Cohen address the claims in court rather than through letters to the press.

This legal battle is just one of many involving Cohen, Bravo, and various producers. Former “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Brandi Glanville has also sent a legal letter accusing Cohen of sexually harassing her. Glanville claims that Cohen sent her a video in which he talked about having sex with another Bravo star while thinking about Glanville and invited her to watch on FaceTime. Cohen has apologized for the remarks but maintains that they were made in jest.

Additionally, “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Caroline Manzo has filed suit against Cohen and Bravo, alleging that they provided Glanville with alcohol in an effort to encourage her to sexually pursue Manzo. Glanville denies the allegations, and Bravo and Cohen have not responded.

As this legal drama unfolds, it is clear that tensions are rising behind the scenes at Bravo. The outcome of these lawsuits will undoubtedly have far-reaching implications for both the network and its stars. Only time will tell how this battle will play out in court and how it will impact the future of Bravo’s popular reality shows.
