LULING, Texas (KTRK) – The family of Jason Landry is still searching for answers three years after the Texas State University student went missing while driving home to Missouri City for the holidays. Despite the passage of time, his family remains hopeful and is organizing another search this Saturday in hopes of finding clues that will lead them to their son.

A Father’s Desperate Plea for Answers

Jason Landry was 21 years old when his car was discovered crashed in a rural roadway outside Luling, with his wallet and phone still inside. His clothes were found several hundred feet away, but there was no sign of Jason. His father, Kent Landry, expressed his desperation, saying, “I can tell you, as a dad, I would give anything… anything to put my arms around my son.”

Law Enforcement’s Efforts and the Texas Attorney General’s Office Involvement

Law enforcement agencies have been involved in the search for Jason Landry since his disappearance. The Texas Attorney General’s Office cold case unit has dedicated extensive resources to the case, including forensic testing, search warrants, witness interviews, and collaboration with experts from various government agencies and non-profit organizations. A recent round table case review concluded that all credible leads and investigative steps have been pursued thus far.

$20,000 Reward for Information

In their quest for answers, the Landry family has offered a $20,000 reward for any information related to Jason’s case. They continue to hold onto hope and pray for a miracle, but they emphasize that the best Christmas present they could receive is for someone to come forward with information about their son’s whereabouts.

Candlelight Vigil Planned at Crash Site

To honor Jason Landry and keep his memory alive, a candlelight vigil will be held on Friday at the crash site on Salt Flat Road in Luling, Texas. The vigil will take place between 6:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.
