Florida Tire Shop Owner Faces Attempted Murder Charges for Shooting Landscaper

A tire shop owner in Florida is facing attempted murder charges after shooting a landscaper who blew leaves onto his property. Claudio Arrendell, the 52-year-old owner of P&P Auto Tire Shop in Gladeview, Florida, allegedly shot the man following an argument on Friday afternoon, according to police.

Argument Over Leaves Leads to Shooting

The incident occurred when the landscaper was clearing leaves from his customer’s property, and some of the leaves ended up on Arrendell’s property. Witnesses reported hearing two gunshots and saw the man fall to the ground with a gunshot wound to the leg. The injured man was initially in critical condition but has since been upgraded to stable after being transported to a local hospital.

Arrest and Charges

Arrendell was arrested and charged with attempted premeditated first-degree murder, a felony. He is currently being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center. During his initial court appearance, Judge Tom Rebull ordered Arrendell to be held without bond. It is unclear if the other individual detained at the scene will face charges related to the shooting.

While the incident has sparked controversy, one person, whose family are customers at the auto shop, defended Arrendell, stating that he was only protecting his property. The individual mentioned that Arrendell and his business are well-regarded in the neighborhood, with many residents entrusting their vehicles to him for repairs.

Location and Background
