Feud between Simone Biles and MyKayla Skinner at 2024 Paris Olympics

It seems that tensions between MyKayla Skinner and Simone Biles have escalated, with Skinner blocking her former teammate on social media. Biles took to social media to reveal that she had been blocked by Skinner, posting “oop I’ve been blocked 👀🤭😂.” This move was followed by Skinner’s teammate, Jordan Chiles, who shared a photo on her Instagram Story showing that Biles couldn’t view Skinner’s Instagram account.

The feud between the two gymnasts stems from Skinner’s previous comments about the talent and work ethic of the current Team USA. In a since-deleted YouTube video, Skinner expressed her belief that the talent and depth of the team was not what it used to be, and that many girls lacked the work ethic required. These comments were seen as shade towards the team, particularly Biles. Skinner later apologized for her remarks and posted a picture of the victorious Team USA, showing her support for her former teammates.

However, Biles’ teammates have shown their support for her and added fuel to the fire. Chiles commented on Biles’ post, saying “And that’s on periodt!!” Sunisa Lee reposted the picture to her Instagram Story, adding “Put a finger down if Simone Biles just ended you 🖐🏼.” Retired gymnast McKayla Maroney also chimed in, stating that the situation was iconic and that she felt the need to apologize just to redeem her first name.

Even Biles’ husband, Jonathan Owens, joined in, echoing the sentiments with “F AROUND AND FIND OUT.” Biles had previously referred to Team USA as “F.A.A.F.O.” but clarified that they are actually the “golden girls” because they are the oldest Olympic team.

While the tension between Skinner and Biles continues to simmer, it is clear that Biles has the support of her teammates and those close to her. The drama surrounding the Team USA gymnastics team adds an extra layer of intrigue to their already historic achievements at the Paris Olympics.
