Expert Reveals King Charles’ One Regret in Raising Prince Harry

In a recent interview, royal expert Ingrid Seward discussed King Charles III’s parenting regrets when it comes to raising his sons, Prince William and Prince Harry. According to Seward, Charles had a close relationship with Harry and regrets not being stricter with both him and William.

Seward, the author of “My Mother and I,” revealed that Charles had followed Princess Diana’s freestyle approach to parenting until her untimely death in 1997. Diana had allowed the boys to do what they wanted, which was fashionable at the time. Seward suggests that this lack of boundaries may have been a mistake, as children need structure and guidelines to thrive.

Though Charles and Harry’s relationship is currently estranged following Harry and Meghan Markle’s departure from senior royal duties, there have been moments of reconciliation. When Charles announced his cancer diagnosis, Harry flew to London to visit his father, emphasizing his love for his family and his gratitude for the opportunity to spend time with Charles. When asked if his father’s illness could reunite the family, Harry expressed optimism but remained private about the details of Charles’ health.

While Charles and William maintain a close bond, Charles recently attended an Easter Sunday church service without his eldest son. This absence was due to Kate Middleton’s ongoing chemotherapy treatment for her own cancer diagnosis. Instead, Charles spent the holiday with other members of the royal family, including Prince Andrew, Sarah Ferguson, Princess Anne, Prince Edward, and their respective partners.

Charles’ regret regarding his parenting approach highlights the importance of setting boundaries for children. Despite any regrets he may have, it is clear that he still values his relationship with both William and Harry. As the future King of England, Charles continues to navigate the complexities of family relationships while fulfilling his royal duties.
