Court Temporarily Restricts ‘RHUGT’ Footage Depicting Caroline Manzo and Brandi Glanville Incident

The latest development in the ongoing legal battle between former “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Caroline Manzo and “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum Brandi Glanville has taken a surprising turn. A New York court has temporarily restricted the footage from the “Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip” that allegedly shows an incident between the two reality TV stars. This decision comes after executive producer Lisa Shannon submitted the videos to have Manzo’s lawsuit dismissed but requested that the clips be sealed from the public.

Although the footage itself cannot be seen, Shannon’s legal response reveals that it includes details about the incident in question, Manzo’s perception of it, the other cast members’ perspectives, and the aftermath of the encounter. Manzo has alleged that Glanville forced her tongue into her mouth and engaged in unwanted sexual advances. However, Shannon clarifies in the court documents that while Manzo felt “disrespected” by Glanville, she did not consider it a case of sexual violation.

According to Shannon, the primary concern during filming was ensuring Manzo’s safety. The documents state that Manzo expressed feeling safe and wanted to continue filming, even stating that she did not want Glanville to be sent home. Shannon’s legal response also includes reenacted conversations with other cast members, including Phaedra Parks, which suggest that they were unaware of Manzo’s history of sexual abuse, which may have influenced her reaction to Glanville’s alleged actions.

Glanville has vehemently denied Manzo’s accusations of sexual assault and expressed her frustration on Twitter, stating that she begged producers to intervene and felt that their actions to create a TV show were disgraceful and disgusting. She also mentioned that she almost died and that it took a lawsuit for her concerns to be addressed. On the other hand, Shannon claims that Manzo left Morocco after her castmates informed her in a group text that they were planning to visit Glanville at her hotel, which was the only time Manzo requested not to be filmed.

It remains unclear whether the “Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip” season will ever air in light of the scandal. Sources close to Bravo have stated that no official decisions have been made, while Peacock, the streaming platform that airs the show, has reportedly tabled airing the season due to Manzo’s allegations against Glanville.

As the legal battle continues, both Manzo and Glanville stand firm in their positions. Glanville’s representative has emphasized her innocence and labeled the accusations as absurd, while Manzo maintains that she felt disrespected by Glanville’s behavior. The court’s temporary restriction on the footage adds another layer of complexity to this ongoing saga. Only time will tell how this legal dispute will unfold and what consequences it will have for the future of the “Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip” season.
