As crews worked to clear the streets, cities like Worcester and Fitchburg implemented winter parking bans. These bans aimed to facilitate the snow removal process and ensure that roads were accessible for emergency vehicles.

Varied Snow Totals Across the Region

As of 7 a.m., patchy snow was still present in many areas, with temperatures hovering around 32 degrees. The highest snow totals were recorded in southern New Hampshire and the Worcester Hills region. New Ipswich, New Hampshire reported 8.8 inches of snow, while Ashby, Mass. had 8.3 inches and Ashburnham had 7.7 inches. Worcester itself measured 3.4 inches at Worcester Regional Airport. Snow totals decreased significantly closer to the coast, with Boston recording just 0.2 inches of snow.

Continued Snowfall and Gusty Winds

Some snow is expected to continue falling throughout the day, particularly in southeastern Massachusetts. However, accumulation is anticipated to be minimal. Coastal areas can expect gusty winds before a colder weather pattern settles in for the upcoming days. Low temperatures are forecasted to drop below 20 degrees on Tuesday and Wednesday.
