According to DelliBovi, this mysterious celebrity did not want to own a dog or travel with one, but still craved the companionship they provided. So, the solution was to find a medium-sized dog in each city they visited. These dogs were either sourced from local shelters or borrowed from hotel staff who were asked to part with their personal pets for a night.

Initially, the hotel staff themselves were the ones offering up their dogs for loan. DelliBovi explained, “We’re like, ‘Does anyone have a dog they want to loan this talent for one or two nights?'” However, this arrangement was not always feasible, especially when the celebrity was only in a city for a few hours during a music tour. In these cases, DelliBovi had to get creative and find other ways to fulfill the request.

For instance, if the star was in Minneapolis for a short period of time, DelliBovi would reach out to friends and acquaintances, asking if they knew someone with a medium-sized dog who would be willing to lend it out for 24 hours in exchange for compensation. It seems that money talks, as DelliBovi mentioned offering around $500 for the temporary loan of a furry companion.

Of course, such arrangements required certain precautions. DelliBovi revealed that paperwork had to be created to protect both the celebrity and the temporary dog owner. This paperwork included liability waivers in case any harm or accidents occurred during the dog’s stay with the star. It seems that even in the world of celebrity pet borrowing, legalities cannot be ignored.

This peculiar request for medium-sized dogs in hotel rooms is just one example of the strange demands that celebrities make. DelliBovi also mentioned other odd asks, such as an in-room colonic and switching hotel rooms due to “bad energy.” It seems that stars have their own unique ways of ensuring their comfort and well-being while on the road.
