BROOKLINE, MASS. – Police in Brookline are warning local parents about a recent arrest involving a man who allegedly targeted teenagers with drugs. The suspect, referred to as “Niko,” was arrested in Brookline Village after authorities discovered that he was buying items legally from local marijuana dispensaries and selling them to underage teenagers.

Items Found at Brookline High School

According to the Brookline Police Department, several of the items sold by Niko ended up on the Brookline High School campus. As a result, a number of students were caught with these products. The police department stated that Niko is suspected of having many teen customers, although the exact number is unknown.

Dangerous THC-Infused Gummies

Among the items sold by Niko were THC-infused gummies packaged in bags that resemble common candies. Police are urging parents to be on the lookout for these items, as children can often have adverse reactions to them. Deputy Superintendent Paul Campbell emphasized that these drugs can have unpredictable effects, and it is important for parents to communicate with their children about the dangers.

Parents interviewed by a local news station stressed the importance of talking to kids about what is out there and how to be prepared. They emphasized that these substances exist and that open communication is crucial in keeping children safe.

Arrest and Charges

The 22-year-old suspect was arrested on multiple drug distribution charges after allegedly selling drugs to teens at his Brookline apartment. He is also accused of contributing to the delinquency of a child. The suspect is currently out on bail and is scheduled to appear in court early next year.
