“Biden’s Repeated Civil-Rights Claim in Desperate Re-Election Bid”

President Biden Repeats False Claims About Civil Rights Activism

In a recent campaign address, President Biden once again repeated a false claim about his involvement in civil rights activism. Despite admitting that it isn’t true, Biden couldn’t resist making the claim during a visit to the Bethel AME Church in Charleston, SC, where a tragic shooting occurred in 2015. The President stated that he had spent more time in the Bethel AME Church in Wilmington, Del., than most people he knows, and even claimed that he started a civil rights movement there. However, these claims have been debunked multiple times.

Questionable Claims

Biden has previously stated that he attended civil rights organizing sessions at Wilmington’s Union Baptist Church. However, members of the church and a former assistant to the pastor have stated that they do not recall Biden’s involvement. Furthermore, Biden himself has admitted that he was not involved in the civil rights movement and did not participate in any marches or activism.

Even Vice President Kamala Harris has criticized Biden’s history on racial issues, calling it “hurtful” to hear him talk about the reputations of senators who built their careers on racial segregation.

A Pattern of Deception

This is not the first time Biden has made false claims about his past. He has previously claimed to have been raised in the black church, synagogues, the Puerto Rican community, and a Polish community. These claims demonstrate his insincerity when it comes to addressing issues of race and “white supremacy.”

In 2012, Biden used similar tactics, accusing Republicans of wanting to put people “back in chains.” These lies may have worked for him in the past, but they are now contributing to his declining support among black voters.

It is both disgraceful and sad to see a President resort to such deception in an attempt to gain support.
