The wedding took place at the Val Verde Historic Hotel in Socorro County, N.M., where the couple is currently filming a movie called “Collecting Souls.”
The nuptials were captured on film, with footage showing Margera and Marie exchanging vows while surrounded by a camera crew. Margera, 44, wore an all-black ensemble, while Marie donned a ruffled lace dress. During the ceremony, Margera expressed his gratitude to Marie for helping him overcome his struggles with addiction.
The couple’s journey to sobriety has been a significant part of their relationship. Margera revealed that a year ago, he was in a dark place, buying drugs and not wanting to wake up the next day. However, he said that he asked for someone special to enter his life, and he found Marie at the pool of a hotel in Los Angeles. Since then, she has been instrumental in his recovery.
Marie also shared her perspective on their journey to sobriety, explaining that they secluded themselves in a crystal-infested pool house to heal and cut off contact with negative influences. She played a crucial role in removing “bad people” from Margera’s life and creating a structured routine for him.
The wedding ceremony marks a new chapter for Margera, who has battled personal demons for years. He admitted to lacking structure in his life before meeting Marie and often succumbing to temptations. However, now he wakes up with purpose, walks the dogs, stretches, goes to the gym, and skateboards.
Margera’s ex-wife, Boyd, filed for divorce over a year ago, which led to a bitter custody battle over their son, Phoenix. Margera accused Boyd of keeping him away from their child, while Boyd argued that she was abiding by custody orders and that the distance between them made visitation challenging. Eventually, Margera was granted supervised visitation rights.
