Two individuals, Mounssif Fellahi and Akram Boudhan, are facing charges after attempting to break into a home in Brookline, Massachusetts over the weekend. The incident was captured on video and shared by the Brookline police. Fellahi, 23, from Boston, and Boudhan, 22, from Saugus, were arrested and held in custody as of Tuesday afternoon.
According to Sgt. Robert Disario, the suspects were trying to scale the home with the intent to break in or potentially commit a more serious offense. Fortunately, the homeowner had a home security system in place and immediately called the police upon seeing Fellahi and Boudhan on his surveillance camera attempting to climb onto his roof.
Deputy Superintendent Paul Campbell explained that the homeowner noticed his motion sensor lights activate and decided to check his security cameras. He saw two individuals wearing hoods walking around behind his house, which prompted him to contact 911. The evidence suggests that the suspects were trying to gain entry through a second-floor window.
In an impressive response time, an officer arrived within seconds and apprehended one suspect, while the other was arrested moments later. Both arrests were captured on surveillance video. During the investigation, it was discovered that Boudhan was in possession of a semiautomatic pistol.
The exact location of the incident was not disclosed by the police. However, footage of the first arrest shows that an officer arrived near 10:55 p.m. on Sunday. The video depicts the officer handcuffing one of the suspects on the ground.
