Ashley Park, Star of “Emily in Paris,” Recovers from Life-Threatening Medical Condition

Ashley Park, known for her role as Mindy Chen on the popular Netflix series “Emily in Paris,” recently revealed on Instagram that she was hospitalized in the first few weeks of the new year. The 32-year-old actress shared her gratitude for her improved health after battling a life-threatening medical condition.

In her Instagram post, Park expressed her gratitude while lying in a hospital bed with tubes in her nose and an IV inserted into her wrist. Her co-star from “Emily in Paris,” Paul Forman, can be seen leaning in to kiss her forehead in one photo and combing her hair in another.

Park thanked Forman for being by her side throughout the ordeal, providing comfort and support during their time in foreign hospitals and the ICU. She also expressed her appreciation for her doctors and ICU nurse, as well as her personal team of heroes who assisted with insurance, communication, and medical decisions.

While Park hesitated to share her condition while still in recovery, she assured her followers that she is safely on the other side of the worst and promised to be okay. Her co-star Lily Collins commented on the post, expressing her love and gratitude for Park’s recovery.

Park plays Mindy Chen on “Emily in Paris,” a resident of Paris originally from Shanghai. She is known for her sharp sense of humor and aspiring singing career. Forman joined the series in Season 3 as Nicolas de Leon, a character with questionable business ethics who forms a personal connection with Emily.

The fourth season of “Emily in Paris” does not yet have a premiere date.

Messages of love and support poured in from Park’s colleagues, including Glen Powell and Busy Philipps. Park originated the role of Gretchen Wieners in the Broadway production of “Mean Girls” the musical.
