Kate Middleton and Prince William’s Holiday Card Goes Viral Due to Photoshop Fail
Kate Middleton and Prince William’s holiday card for 2023 has become an unexpected viral sensation. However, the attention it has garnered is not what the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge had anticipated. The couple is reportedly “embarrassed” by a Photoshop fail in their family portrait, which appears to show their youngest son, Prince Louis, with a missing middle finger.
According to a source, Kate and William were just as shocked as everyone else when they discovered the Photoshop mishap. The royal couple released their annual photo on December 9, featuring themselves alongside their children Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. The caption on the card read, “Our family Christmas card for 2023 ❤️.”
In addition to the Photoshop fail, the black-and-white snapshot has also received criticism online, with some comparing it to a JCPenney ad. Meanwhile, King Charles III and Queen Camilla’s holiday card, which was a throwback to Charles’ coronation in May, did not generate as much attention.
Despite the controversy surrounding the card, photographer Josh Shinner, who worked with the royal family to capture the moment, expressed his pleasure in photographing them. He described the sitting as one of the most relaxed and enjoyable he has ever had. Shinner also shared an original sketch of his vision for the family portrait before meeting with them.
As for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, they have yet to release their own holiday card featuring their children, Archie and Lilibet. In December 2022, they shared a simple black-and-white photo of just the couple, along with a heartfelt message wishing everyone a joyful holiday season. The previous year, their children joined them for a coordinated card.
