How I Achieved My Dream Body: Eating More, Working Out Less

How to Transform Your Body with Less Gym Time and More Food, According to a Fitness Coach

A buffed-up fitness coach has been raising eyeballs on TikTok with her shock reveal of the two unexpected lifestyle changes she made to attain her incredible physique. Jenna Rizzo, 27, stunned viewers after saying her toned and taut frame is the product of cutting back on grueling workouts — and increasing the amount she eats.

Work Out Smarter, Not Harder

Rizzo urged her followers to work out smarter, instead of harder, saying you don’t need to exercise every day to obtain — and maintain — a fabulously fit physique. She explained that working out too much can actually do more harm than good because it creates tears in your muscles that need proper rest to grow back bigger and stronger.

The fitness enthusiast noticed a major difference in her physique when she stopped working out six times per week. Now, Rizzo hits the gym just four times per week, spending two sessions focusing on her lower body and two focusing on her upper body. Each workout lasts for about an hour.

Eat More Than You Think

Rizzo’s second tip to attaining a fit body is to eat more than you think. She emphasized that traditional diet culture often advises women to consume no more than 1,200 calories per day, but she believes in fueling the body better. Rizzo has coached hundreds of women and none of them had their calories below 1,500 every single day. She encourages viewers to eat their food and take proper rest.

Viewers praised Rizzo for her unconventional — but balanced and healthy — approach to diet and exercise. Many expressed gratitude for her advice, as they had been following intense workout routines that did more harm than good. Rizzo’s tips align with the National Institutes of Health’s recommendation to reach a healthy weight by following a healthy diet, being physically active, and limiting sedentary behavior.

By following Rizzo’s advice and focusing on working out smarter and fueling the body properly, individuals can transform their bodies without spending excessive time in the gym or restricting their food intake.
