Rod Stewart Relists Mansion with $10M Price Increase, Citing LA’s ‘Toxic Culture’

Rod Stewart Relists Over-the-Top Mansion in Los Angeles for $80 Million

Rod Stewart, the legendary rocker, has put his extravagant Los Angeles mansion back on the market with a new price tag. After initially listing the property for $70 million, Stewart has relisted it for $10 million more, bringing the asking price to a whopping $80 million.

The 78-year-old British musician purchased the estate in 1991 for $12.08 million and had the current nine-bedroom, 12-bathroom mansion custom built by Richard Landry, according to the New York Times. The property features a unique English-countryside-meets-Versailles-style design.

Stewart’s decision to sell the mansion seems to be driven by his desire to return to his hometown of London. Sources told the Daily Mail that he grew tired of Los Angeles’ “toxic culture” and felt he had no privacy in the city. The constant travel between the two cities also became a hassle for him.

The mansion boasts several luxurious features, including a double gated entry, a marble-floored speakeasy, a 4,500-square-foot guesthouse, two gyms, a tea room, a dining room, and various Old World-esque touches such as ceiling moldings, medallions, herringbone floors, and Corinthian columns.

Outdoor highlights of the property include a long driveway leading up to the house, numerous sculptures, a pool and hot tub, a soccer field, and three lush, landscaped acres. The mansion is located in the prestigious Beverly Park neighborhood of Beverly Hills, which is home to other celebrities like Justin Bieber, Barry Bonds, Adele, and Denzel Washington.

Tomer Fridman of Compass’s the Fridman Group, who is representing Stewart in the sale, shared that the mansion holds sentimental value for the singer. Stewart raised his eight children at the LA property, and it has been their family home for the past 30 years. However, with Stewart spending most of his time in Europe nowadays, he feels it’s time to part ways with the mansion.

If you’re in the market for a truly extravagant and iconic property, Rod Stewart’s mansion could be the perfect fit. With its stunning design, luxurious amenities, and prime location, this $80 million estate offers a taste of opulence fit for a rockstar.
