Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes Defend PDA at Jingle Ball 2023

Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes made headlines with their public display of affection during their red carpet debut at iHeartRadio’s Jingle Ball 2023. Despite the attention, the couple is unapologetic about their actions.

Being True to Themselves

In a recent episode of their podcast, “Amy & T.J.,” Robach and Holmes addressed the criticism they received for their PDA. Robach, 50, stated, “We were just being us. Apparently that’s handsy and a lot of PDA. But you know what? We’re in love. We’re happy. I don’t know how else to act.” She explained that they simply held hands, laughed, and kissed on the cheek.

Holmes, 46, admitted that his habit of putting his arm around Robach sometimes leads to his hand resting lower than her waist. He acknowledged that while it could be seen as sweet, it could also be sexualized or viewed inappropriately.

Learning and Growing

Robach shared that Holmes has been actively trying to break the habit of placing his hand in that position. During their appearance at Jingle Ball, he caught himself doing it multiple times and stopped himself. Robach finds it cute and sweet, appreciating his efforts to change.

Since then, the couple has found ways to keep Holmes’ hands to himself, especially when Robach wore a sequined dress to a wedding. Robach jokingly mentioned that the dress made it uncomfortable for Holmes to place his hand where he usually does. They both agreed that it was a “training dress” that would teach him not to put his hand there anymore with enough wears.

A Journey of Love and Freedom

Robach and Holmes have faced their fair share of challenges, particularly after news broke about their relationship. The former “Good Morning America” co-hosts have now embraced the freedom of openly displaying their love for each other. Robach expressed her happiness about no longer having to hide or avoid their relationship, emphasizing that it is a significant milestone for them.

Addressing the Scandal

In the debut episode of their podcast, Robach and Holmes addressed the early days of the scandal surrounding their relationship. They vehemently denied cheating on their respective spouses, Andrew Shue and Marilee Fiebig. Shue and Fiebig are now in a relationship themselves, having connected over shared values.
