The couple also had the privilege of riding in the elevator used by the Pope to reach St. Peter’s Basilica for Mass. They visited a small museum that housed gifts sent to the Vatican by world leaders throughout history. O’Hara described it as a truly remarkable experience.

In addition to the tour, the priest allowed O’Hara and her husband to playfully pose with a crown from one of the museum’s cases, which they pretended to put in their backpack for a photo. Kelly Clarkson expressed her surprise at such an unusual wedding gift, to which O’Hara explained that it was a personal gesture from Burton, who had received the crown as a gift himself.

O’Hara revealed that she met her husband, a production designer named Bo Welch, on the set of Beetlejuice in the late 1980s. However, it was Burton who played a crucial role in bringing them together. After O’Hara complained to Burton about Welch never asking her out, he took matters into his own hands. On the first day of shooting in Vermont, Burton arranged for O’Hara to join the art department on a swap meet outing, ultimately sparking their romance.
