Manchester Man Discovers Door from Crashed Plane in Londonderry

A Manchester, New Hampshire resident made an unusual discovery recently when he found a door belonging to a small plane that later crashed in nearby Londonderry. Rupert Cote, the man who found the door, described hearing a thud and immediately recognizing what it was.

“A second earlier it would’ve gone through my neighbor’s house, a second later and it would’ve hit my gas grill,” Cote said, emphasizing the close call.

Officials later confirmed that the door belonged to the plane that crashed in a wooded area in Londonderry, about six miles away from where Cote found it. The pilot, who was the sole occupant of the aircraft, sustained serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) are currently conducting an investigation into the crash.

Conclusion

This incident serves as a reminder of the potential dangers associated with aviation accidents and the importance of thorough investigations to prevent future incidents. The FAA and NTSB’s efforts will help shed light on the cause of the crash and contribute to improving aviation safety.
