Chris Young’s Charges Dismissed Shortly After Nashville Bar Arrest

Charges Against Country Star Chris Young Dismissed Following Nashville Bar Incident

Country star Chris Young has had the charges against him dismissed just days after his arrest at a Tennessee bar, according to the Nashville district attorney. The charges included assaulting an officer, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest at the DawgHouse Saloon in Nashville. Nashville District Attorney Glenn Funk confirmed the dismissal of the charges after reviewing all the evidence in the case.

Attorney Calls for Charges to be Dropped

Bill Ramsey, Young’s attorney, expressed gratitude for the decision to clear his client of the charges. Earlier in the week, Ramsey had called for the charges to be dropped based on surveillance video from the DawgHouse Saloon that contradicted the claim that Young assaulted an officer. Ramsey stated that what happened to Young was wrong and that he should never have been arrested and charged in the first place. He demanded that the Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission drop the charges and apologize for the harm done to his client.

Details of the Incident

According to an arrest affidavit obtained by Fox News Digital, agents from the Alcoholic Beverage Commission entered the Tin Roof bar on Monday night to conduct a compliance check. Young and his friends followed the agents to the DawgHouse Saloon. As Young attempted to leave, an agent claimed that he put out his arm to block the agent’s exit and struck him. The agent pushed Young back, and other bar patrons became involved. Young had to be physically detained with handcuffs while his associates continued to escalate the situation.

Positive Outlook for Young

Representatives for Young stated that he is now looking forward to releasing his new album and going on tour soon. The Tennessee Alcohol Beverage Commission also issued a statement, respecting the decision to drop the charges and emphasizing the importance of safety for law enforcement and first responders.
