Plymouth Firefighter Accused of Secretly Videotaping Ex-Girlfriend Naked

A Plymouth firefighter has been placed on leave following allegations that he secretly recorded his ex-girlfriend naked with another man and shared the video with his coworkers. The incident is said to have occurred inside the Plymouth home where 32-year-old Richard Pimental used to live with his ex.

According to investigators, Pimental moved out but left behind hidden cameras disguised as an alarm clock on a bedside table and a charger plugged into a wall outlet. These cameras, similar to “nanny cams,” were reportedly accessed remotely.

The recording took place on September 20, and in early October, Pimental’s ex discovered the hidden cameras and confronted him. She told detectives that Pimental denied the items being secret cameras and called her delusional.

Court documents reveal that Pimental shared the video with two of his colleagues. When questioned, one of them informed the police that Pimental had additional cameras outside the house, including one on a shed and another in a tree, as he suspected his ex-girlfriend of being involved with other firefighters.

The town of Plymouth confirmed that Pimental was placed on leave on November 22 after being criminally charged in an off-duty matter. The town did not provide further details but stated that Pimental will remain on leave pending the outcome of court proceedings and an investigation conducted by an independent agency.

Pimental has been a member of the Plymouth Fire Department since 2018 and has already been arraigned on charges related to this case. He is scheduled to appear in court again in February.
