Biden’s War Expands from Gaza to Yemen

With his recent airstrikes in response to attacks on Red Sea shipping, Joe Biden has joined the ranks of four consecutive U.S. presidents who have bombed Yemen. These strikes were aimed at the Houthi militant group to prevent further attacks on merchant ships in the Red Sea. Although Biden himself admitted that the strikes have been ineffective, he has vowed to continue them.

Shireen Al-Adeimi, an assistant professor of language and literacy at Michigan State University and non-resident fellow at the Quincy Institute focused on Yemen, joins us on Intercepted to discuss the history of U.S. involvement in the country since the war on terror.
