Hamas Leader Rejects Two-State Solution, Calls for Israel’s End

Hamas Official Declares Rejection of Two-State Solution and Vows to Wipe Out Israel

In a recent interview, Khaled Mashal, a senior Hamas official based in Qatar, openly stated that his terror group will never accept a two-state solution. Mashal boasted that the October 7 attack carried out by Hamas proved that it is possible to expand Palestinian territory and eliminate Israel. He emphasized that Gazans and Israelis cannot coexist, citing the October 7 attack as evidence of this sentiment.

Mashal firmly rejected the notion of a two-state solution, arguing that it would require recognizing the legitimacy of Israel as the Zionist entity. He stated that Hamas demands liberation from occupation, independence, and the establishment of a Palestinian state. Mashal also acknowledged that Hamas’s goal was never just to govern Gaza but to destroy Israel.

Referring to the October 7 attack, which resulted in the deaths of over 1,200 people, mostly civilians, Mashal claimed that it renewed the dream and hope for Palestine from the River to the Sea. He highlighted that this slogan is chanted not only in Palestine but also in the US and Western capital cities. Mashal asserted that the Palestinian consensus is to not give up on their right to Palestine in its entirety.

Mashal’s rejection of peace between Israelis and Hamas suggests that the war in Gaza will continue until one of the groups is destroyed. Israel has vowed to eradicate Hamas and has already killed over 25,000 Palestinians, according to the local Health Ministry. Meanwhile, Mashal and other Hamas leaders live in luxury in Qatar while their people suffer in poverty.

Mashal, who is worth over $4 billion, has been targeted by Israeli forces in the past. In 1997, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu attempted to assassinate him by poisoning his ear in Amman, Jordan. However, Mashal recovered after receiving an antidote provided by then-US President Bill Clinton.

Netanyahu himself has repeatedly rejected a two-state solution and recently emphasized Israeli security control over all the territory west of the Jordan River. He stated that the Israeli Defense Forces will continue their operations in Gaza until the hostages are freed and Hamas is eradicated.
