Three Rescued from Flames in Lawrence Multi-Family Home Fire
Lawrence, Mass. – Three individuals were rushed to the hospital on Friday after being saved from a multi-family home that caught fire in Lawrence, according to officials.
Firefighters Rescue Trapped Residents
The incident occurred around 3 p.m. when emergency crews responded to a structure fire on Salem Street. Upon arrival, they discovered flames engulfing the first-floor windows of the building, as reported by Lawrence Fire Chief Brian Moriarty. In order to rescue residents who were trapped on the upper floors, firefighters had to employ ladders.
Moriarty praised the efforts of his team, stating, “It’s always a challenge, especially when we have to rescue frightened civilians. The firefighters did an exceptional job… We were fortunate that the outcome wasn’t worse.”
American Red Cross Assists Displaced Individuals
The American Red Cross is providing assistance to those who have been displaced as a result of the fire. The organization is working to ensure that the affected individuals have access to shelter and other necessary resources.
