Oil Prices Fall, Gold and Copper Prices Fluctuate

The benchmark U.S. crude oil for January delivery experienced a slight decline of 4 cents, settling at $69.34 per barrel on Thursday. Similarly, Brent crude for February delivery fell 25 cents to $74.05 per barrel.

Gasoline and Heating Oil Prices Decrease

In line with the downward trend, wholesale gasoline for January delivery dropped by 3 cents, reaching $2 per gallon. Additionally, January heating oil experienced a decrease of 3 cents, settling at $2.55 per gallon. Conversely, January natural gas saw a slight increase of 2 cents, reaching $2.59 per 1,000 cubic feet.

Gold and Silver Prices Experience Fluctuations

Gold for February delivery witnessed a decline of $1.50, settling at $2,046.40 per ounce. Similarly, silver for March delivery fell 17 cents to $24.06 per ounce. On the other hand, March copper experienced a rise of 7 cents, reaching $3.80 per pound.

Foreign Exchange Rates

The dollar weakened against the Japanese yen, falling to 143.45 yen from 147.36 Japanese yen. Conversely, the euro strengthened against the dollar, rising to $1.0799 from $1.0769.
