Josh Hart, Jalen Brunson Questionable to Face Rockets

Jalen Brunson’s availability for the Knicks’ upcoming game against the Rockets is still uncertain as he continues to recover from a calf injury. Additionally, Josh Hart is also listed as questionable due to patellar tendinopathy in his left knee. Hart has been a consistent presence for the team this season, appearing in all 40 games and averaging 7.2 points and 6.2 rebounds per game.

Former Knicks player Reggie Bullock is also questionable for the game against the Rockets due to lower back pain. On the other hand, OG Anunoby has been playing heavy minutes since his trade from the Raptors in late December. He played a season-high 44 minutes in the Knicks’ recent loss to the Magic and has been averaging 35.2 minutes per game since the trade.

Anunoby has been performing well, averaging 14.5 points and 4.8 rebounds per game while shooting at an impressive 50/40/90 clip. He has also made a positive impact on the team, with a plus-134 rating through eight games. Despite their recent loss, the Knicks have a 6-2 record since the trade.

Isaiah Hartenstein had a solid performance in the Knicks’ loss to the Magic, grabbing 12 rebounds despite limited playing time due to foul trouble. He has been averaging 11.9 rebounds per game since Mitchell Robinson’s ankle surgery in December. In his past seven appearances, Hartenstein has averaged 15.1 rebounds per game, including two 20-rebound efforts.

Looking ahead, the Knicks will face the Wizards at home on Thursday night, marking their ninth set of back-to-back games this season.
