RICHMOND, Texas: Child and Four Adults Dead in Fort Bend County Home Shooting

Tragedy struck in Fort Bend County as one child and four adults were killed in a shooting incident at a home. The Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office received a distress call about the shooting around 7 a.m. on Saturday.

Upon arriving at the scene on Cory Cornel Lane, deputies discovered crime tape cordoning off the area within the neighborhood. It was revealed that some children were present during the shooting, and one of the deceased adults is believed to be the shooter.

A heartbreaking revelation came from a relative at the scene, stating that three of the adult victims were siblings, including two sisters and a brother. The youngest victim was their 8-year-old niece, and the shooter was reportedly married to one of the sisters.

Cheryl Stewart, the aunt of the youngest victim, expressed her grief, saying, “I don’t know what the situation was, something with domestic violence, but for an 8-year-old… it is just a tragedy.”

While details are still limited, authorities suspect that the shooting is connected to domestic violence. The exact circumstances leading up to the incident remain unclear.
