Horrific Hit-and-Run in the Bronx Caught on Surveillance Footage
In a tragic incident, a pedestrian was fatally struck by two vehicles involved in a hit-and-run in the Bronx. The shocking surveillance footage captured the moment when the 53-year-old woman was waiting to cross the intersection of Melrose Avenue and 157th Street at around 7:15 p.m. The NYPD has confirmed that a white SUV first hit her, propelling her into the air and into a second gray Jeep Wrangler traveling in the opposite direction.
The devastating incident left the pedestrian lifeless on the sidewalk, and she was pronounced dead at the scene. The white SUV responsible for the initial collision fled the scene and is currently at large. Meanwhile, the 53-year-old male driver of the Jeep remained at the scene.
As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the hit-and-run incident. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
