A Dream Come True
Stokes was ecstatic about the opportunity and still can’t believe it happened. He explained that his deaf education teacher nominated him for the audition, and shortly after, he received the surprising news at home that he had been selected.
Meeting Fantasia
Prior to the performance, Stokes had the chance to meet Fantasia, the winner of American Idol. He described her as incredibly kind and friendly.
A Proud Moment
Performing in front of a large audience and on a global stage for the College Football Playoffs was nerve-wracking for Stokes. However, he expressed pride in his signing skills and felt a great sense of accomplishment.
