Infant’s Body Found Wrapped in Blanket at Fort Taber in New Bedford
Authorities in New Bedford, Massachusetts are currently investigating the discovery of an infant’s body wrapped in a blanket at Fort Taber. The distressing find was made on Saturday afternoon by a person walking near the water, who noticed a blanket and detected a strong odor of decay. Upon further investigation, it was determined that the blanket contained the decomposing body of an infant.
The body has since been transported to the Massachusetts Medical Examiner’s Office for further examination and to determine the cause of death. At this time, no additional information has been released regarding the incident.
