Microsoft has recently revealed its plans to launch an Extended Security Update (ESU) program for Windows 10. This program aims to extend support for the operating system beyond its termination date in October 2025. The decision to introduce this program follows a similar initiative for Windows 7. Users who opt for this subscription will receive an additional three years of support post the cutoff date in 2025. Jason Leznek, a member of Microsoft’s Windows Servicing and Delivery team, stated that this move acknowledges the fact that some users may not be able to transition to Windows 11 before the end of support date.
