Two Men Arrested for Viciously Attacking and Robbing Elderly Man with Alzheimer’s and Dementia

In a shocking incident, two men were arrested after brutally beating up and robbing a 67-year-old man diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and dementia in a Houston parking lot. The attack occurred when the elderly man, Florentino Hurtado, mistakenly tried to enter the wrong car.

Confusion Leads to Attack

Hurtado and his wife had gone to a local meat market on Saturday. While his wife went inside the store, Hurtado, who has been struggling with his diagnoses for the past two years, remained in the car. Surveillance footage shows Hurtado exiting the car and appearing disoriented, which is typical of his current state. He then tries to open the door of the wrong car, but it was locked.

Trayvon Lockridge and Deroderic Stephens, who seemed to own the car, violently attacked Hurtado. The video shows them stomping on his head and repeatedly punching him. After the assault, they stole Hurtado’s cellphone and fled the scene, leaving him lying on the ground in the parking lot.
