The suspect, identified as Gelson Fernandes, 29, of Brockton, was found with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound and has been transported to a Boston hospital for treatment.

Stephanie Beatty, a resident of Norwich, Connecticut, was discovered dead in a vehicle on Nason Street. The Plymouth District Attorney’s Office has charged Gelson Fernandes with homicide in connection with the fatal shooting.
