Unlicensed Massage Therapist Arrested for Sexual Assault at Texas Chiropractic Clinic

In a recent incident that has sent shockwaves through the community, an unlicensed massage therapist named Thomas Latin has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting patients at a chiropractic clinic in Friendswood, Texas. The accusations against Latin took place in November of last year and again in August of this year at Bergeson Chiropractic, the only chiropractic office located in the 300 block of East Parkwood Drive.

This is not the only case of sexual assault at a clinic in the area. In January, Joe Guerrero Jr. was charged with sexual assault following allegations that he assaulted a patient while working at another clinic. These incidents highlight the need for increased vigilance and accountability within the industry.

When approached for comment, Bergeson Chiropractic declined to discuss the two arrests, citing a busy schedule with patients. However, their silence on the matter raises concerns about their knowledge of and response to the alleged assaults.

One brave woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, came forward to share her disturbing experience at the clinic. She described her encounter with Latin as the “creepiest” massage she has ever received. Latin allegedly made her uncomfortable by placing his body against her arm and making inappropriate comments throughout the session. Adding to the disturbing nature of the incident, the woman claimed that Latin would sing “She Loves You” by The Beatles whenever he touched her body.

It is important to note that the charges against both Latin and Guerrero are still active. However, as of now, only Latin remains in custody at the Galveston County Jail. The Friendswood Police Department believes that there may be more victims and is urging the public to come forward with any information they may have.

This incident serves as a stark reminder of the potential dangers that can lurk within seemingly safe environments. As consumers, we must be vigilant in choosing reputable and licensed practitioners for our healthcare needs. Additionally, it is crucial for clinics and businesses to prioritize the safety and well-being of their patients by implementing rigorous screening processes and maintaining a culture of transparency and accountability.

In conclusion, the arrest of Thomas Latin and the charges against Joe Guerrero Jr. shed light on the issue of sexual assault within the massage therapy industry. It is imperative that law enforcement agencies, regulatory bodies, and the public work together to address these concerns and ensure the safety of individuals seeking healthcare services.
