Man Arrested for Pulling Gun on Kingwood Residents and Shooting into Innocent Family’s Home
A shocking incident occurred in the quiet neighborhood of Mills Branch Village in Kingwood, Texas. A 19-year-old man named Robert Dale Clookey has been accused of pulling a gun on residents not once, but twice, before shooting into an innocent family’s home. The first incident took place in the early morning hours of August 25th. The video shows Clookey pointing a gun at terrified residents while they scream for help. The residents of the neighborhood were undoubtedly shaken by this terrifying encounter, unsure of what the man’s intentions were.
The following morning, Megan Lejeune, a resident of the neighborhood, made a horrifying discovery. Multiple bullet holes were found in her home. Lejeune, who had company that night, was deeply disturbed by the incident, especially considering that her four children were sleeping inside the house at the time. She expressed her feelings of vulnerability, stating, “This is our safe place.” The bullets had pierced through the front window, narrowly missing the room where her children were sleeping. Lejeune couldn’t help but think about the potential tragedy that could have unfolded. “One centimeter and a child could have lost their life. It’s that serious,” she said.
Clookey has been charged with deadly conduct for the shooting incident, but this is not the only felony he faces. A week prior, on August 19th, Clookey allegedly punched a neighbor after receiving a note about his disruptive behavior, which included playing loud music and urinating in a neighbor’s flower bed. Eyewitnesses reported seeing Clookey pull out a gun and threaten to return.
The delay in Clookey’s arrest frustrated Lejeune and others in the neighborhood. They feared that if he wasn’t apprehended promptly, there could be further acts of violence. However, the authorities eventually took him into custody, and he is now being held in jail on bonds totaling $80,000.
During his first court appearance, it was revealed that Clookey is unemployed and lives with his mother and younger sister. He had recently graduated from high school and has been assigned a public defender to represent him in court.
