Family of Slain Boston Police Officer Files Lawsuit Against Karen Read and Canton Bars
The family of Boston police officer John O’Keefe has recently filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Karen Read and two Canton bars in connection with O’Keefe’s tragic death in 2022. The lawsuit, which was confirmed by a court clerk in the civil division of Plymouth Superior Court, names the Estate of John O’Keefe and his brother, Paul, as plaintiffs, while Read and the bars are listed as defendants.

Prosecutors allege that she hit O’Keefe with her car and left him to die outside the Canton home of another Boston police officer.
