2025 GMC Yukon AT4 Ultimate: GMC Expands High-End Lineup with New Model

General Motors (GM) is making updates to its GMC Yukon lineup for the 2025 model year, including the addition of a new model called the “AT4 Ultimate.” This new model will fit between the luxury “Denali” and “Denali Ultimate” models. While the pricing for the AT4 Ultimate has not been disclosed, the Denali models currently start at around $77,300 and just under $100,000, respectively. The current AT4 model starts at $73,500.

The Denali models have been a significant source of revenue for GMC, with the addition of the “Ultimate” and “AT4” models in recent years further expanding the reach and pricing of these high-end vehicles. Duncan Aldred, global vice president of GMC, stated that the AT4 Ultimate trim combines ruggedness and capability with craftsmanship and refinement, raising the bar for the flagship Yukon.

Sales of the AT4 models currently represent about 17% of overall Yukon sales, while the Denali models account for over 50% of sales for the large SUVs. To enhance the appeal of the AT4 Ultimate, it will feature a front skid plate, 20-inch wheels with all-terrain tires, and a four-corner adaptive air suspension that can raise the vehicle by up to 2 inches, among other features.

These higher trim models have been instrumental in GMC achieving an average transaction price of approximately $80,000 for the Yukon, according to GM. However, the updates to the 2025 Yukon go beyond the AT4 Ultimate. The vehicle will also receive styling updates, larger screens, second-row executive seating, and an expanded availability of a 3.0-liter diesel engine, which will improve the range and fuel economy compared to gas-powered models.

Production of the 2025 GMC Yukon will take place at GM’s Arlington Assembly plant in Texas. The vehicle is expected to be available by the end of 2024.

In summary, GM is expanding its GMC Yukon lineup with the introduction of the AT4 Ultimate model for the 2025 model year. This new model will provide customers with a rugged and capable option that still maintains a high level of craftsmanship and refinement. The popularity of higher trim models, such as the Denali and AT4, has contributed to GMC’s success, with the Denali models accounting for a significant portion of Yukon sales. The AT4 Ultimate will offer unique features and enhancements to appeal to customers seeking a premium SUV experience.
