Mayor Michelle Wu has expressed her commitment to getting more pools operational as quickly as possible. Emergency physician Caleb Dresser warned of the dangers associated with prolonged exposure to extreme heat, stating, “You can get a condition called heat stroke that can be deadly within minutes to hours if it’s not treated properly. It is crucial for individuals to recognize the symptoms and take appropriate action.”
